Anyone with information on who was passing out the fliers was asked to call the Kern County sheriff’s Rosamond substation at (661) 256-9700. ROSAMOND – Racist fliers that insult African-Americans and challenge them to come to a Lancaster home to fight have turned up in Rosamond, Kern County sheriff’s officials said. Apparently created on a home computer and similar to fliers that have appeared for months around Lancaster, the fliers appear to be a vicious prank against the residents of the home whose address appears on them, Kern County sheriff’s Sgt. Neil Record said. The fliers have been left on parked cars in the Rosamond area and deputies have not located anyone who has actually seen the individuals who are leaving them. The home’s resident, an immigrant from El Salvador, told deputies he has had numerous vandalisms since the fliers began appearing after he moved in several months ago but can’t think of any reason why he would be targeted, Record said.
